Our Commitment to the Community

Foundation for Life

The Foundation for Life is a charitable organization founded in 2006 by Paul and Mindee Blanco. The mission of the Foundation for Life is to improve the quality of life for the people and families we serve through actions that promote change and deepened connections within our community.

Bikes for Kids

Bikes for Kids is 501c3 charitable organization formed in 2002 in San Diego, California whose mission is to do something good for children in need. Barnum Financial Group brought this organization to Connecticut in 2007 and surprised 300 third graders with their very first bike at a Bridgeport Bluefish game.

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the economics of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential.

Scholarship Program

Each year, Barnum Financial Group donates $5,000 to fund prizes for a statewide essay contest for children ages 6-14 years old. As college tuition skyrockets, Barnum Financial Group is committed to educating families on creative ways of funding and planning for their children's future. The money for each prize will be deposited in a 529 college savings plan of the winner's choice or similar college savings vehicle set up in their name by Barnum Financial Group.

Foundation for Life, Bikes for Kids, and Junior Achievement are separate entities from Barnum Financial Group.
